Scott and Mom go to the Wild Animal Park!!

Well who knew that San Diego had a wildlife park the size of Texas?? We had a blast here today!! Definately a place to come back too!

There were lots of larger than life size models of animal stuff the kids could play on, in and around...but the best part was the animals themselves.

We lunched today by the Gorrilla enclosure...they are so BIG and kinda creepy in a way! They just look like they could bust out in conversation at any moment.

One of the funnest parts of the day was the bird show. They had lots of free flying birds who flew from perch to perch over the audience...We loved the Secretary Bird the best (not pictured here..sorry!)...but the raptor devouring a dead mouse is pretty cool!

We walked through the park and down to the African Safari Land...past the Lions and overlooking the valley filled with animals. We took a tram all through the valley and saw lots more than we would have if we'd stayed on the trails.

Here we are waiting for the tram to leave...

Rhino in the background...

These are our distant cousins...I think!

After the tram we walked on through a trail that had so many different types of animals...we liked the flamingos, but man, were they stinky!!

On our way out we found this HUGE cage filled with Lorakeets...they would just come and land on you when you walked into the enclosure.
What they really wanted was nectar in a little cup that you could buy for 3 dollars~so we went out and bought a cup of nectar! (It's about the size of a sacrament cup!!) But it was so cool to have the birds crawling all over us!

Scottie was a little bit nervous at first but then he really dug it!

We had a Great day!! Couldn't have asked for better weather, or a better son to have fun with!!
