2010 Year in Review!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 

Hello all our friends and family! We've had a great year this year! We finally feel settled here in Temecula and have had the chance this year to get to know our friends here in the ward even better. It's been nice to have a calm year where all we had to worry about is how to pay the bills and get the kids to school on time! We've had the chance this year to take a vacation, visit relatives in NorCal and spend some time at Disney! 

For lack of a better way...I'll post a few re-cap pics from the year, to give you a peek at what we've done! (This post is really for Auntie Rachel who constantly reminds me to post -sadly, I immediately forget! and who I think is the only one who reads this! Love you Auntie!)

Rachel, Leah and I put on a surprise birthday party for mom in March...there were over 20 people there who absolutely LOVE this woman! It was so much fun! We lunched on the patio at Posh Nosh in Grass Valley and laughed and talked and ate! Too fun!

Jord's fav thing to do this year was attend rock concerts...she went to 7! She loves the music and the crowd and the dancing! But...her most favorite is to meet the band members after and take pictures!

This is a family self portrait waiting in line for a ride at the Magic Mountain park! They have a deal where if you go for one day you get the rest of the year FREE! We couldn't resist! We ended up going several times over the summer!

Here we are smooshed in at the Owl City Concert! We all went and had a blast!

For Greg's birthday this year we spent the night in Palm Springs and played golf and ate at a great steak house!

The HIGHLIGHT of the year had to be our couples' vacation to Maui with Auntie and Trevor and Chris and Kelly! We snorkeled and tanned and shopped and had the best time...We are already trying to figure out how to take the kids! Maybe in a year?? 

Greg and Scott went on a boys day to Disneyland and then to a Dodger game with the other guys in the ward! They are officially Southern Californians after this adventure!

Here are Jordan and I at Girls Camp! Our theme was "How the West Was ONE" We had a great time in the San Bernadino Mtns. 

Our neighborhood has a pool! We have a water camera...need I say more?? We spent LOTS of time here swimming!

During Fourth of July in Colfax we hoped on the freeway and went to Tahoe for an afternoon...here are the kids on a bench by fanny bridge! (It's gotten a makeover since I was there nearly 10 years ago!)

Here are the goobers after the parade in downtown Colfax! We watched the parade with my family and watched the fireworks with Chris and Kelly's family in the evening!

Greg and I had a getaway to Yosemite! It is so beautiful there...we even saw a BEAR!

Katrina and Owen came to visit in July!! It was also the HIGHLIGHT of summer! We toured Temecula, Hollywood and San Diego! We love and miss them and were so happy to have them visit!

We took a short family vacation to Mammoth Lakes...We were amazed at the drive (through Death Valley) and by the scenery (It is SO BIG there!) We are definitely going back again and staying longer...Syd needs more time to acclimate to the altitude so she can have fun too! 

Scott went to his first multi-day Scout Camp! On fiesta Island in San Diego...He learned boating, sailing and swam the mile! 

Greg polished up his skills and spent a lot of time in the ocean with the kids, the boogie boards and surf boards! Sis is going to be a good surfer...give her one more summer!

These shots are from a two day stint in Disney for the kids birthdays and Halloween! We love it there!

Sis got on the Honor Roll this first half of the year! She got all 5/5's and +'s on her report card! She's a smartie!

And lastly...this little sideways addition to the group  is Cheeto! She's our newest Hollingsworth! 

So much more happened this year and we have much to be grateful for! We are blessed with health, safety and love...Here we all come 2011! Can't wait!!!!
